Brief Bio

  • Nimene is a skilled trainer, and development practitioner with experience in peace building and conflict transformation, civic matters co-working with different organisations and in challenging settings. His background includes: B.A in Sociology and Public Administration from the University of Liberia; Graduate Certificate in Professional Development Studies with emphasis in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the Chulalongkorn University in Thailand; Certificate of Achievement in Economic Recovery for Post-Conflict Countries from the Folke Bernadotte Academy in Sweden; and Certificate of Achievement from joint courses run by International Alert and Transitional International on Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration of Ex-combatants in The Netherlands.
  • He is currently pursuing his Master in Public Policy with dual specialization: (1) International Political Economy, (2) International Affairs, International Cooperation and Development at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy – University of Erfurt, Germany.
  • The past eleven years (2004-2015) of his development and social work covered areas of NGO and the public sectors where he has been an active member of the civil society, involved with peacebuilding initiatives, education, training and capacity building, and instrumental in women empowerment as well as helping societal misfits reintegrate into society with some form of economic independence.
  • His leadership, networking, and organizational prowess have earned him a reputation as a good team player from days of his high school through university where he served in several leadership positions, and initiated student projects that outlived his presence.
