Brief Bio

  • Amanda is currently a senior, double majoring in Global Studies and Public Policy, with a minor in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
  • Her area of studies is the Middle East and her concentration is International Politics, Nation States and Social Movements within the Global Studies major. Her previous academic research has centered on immigration reform and imaginings of Islam in the West.
  • Having had multiple internships with both the public and private sectors, her passion for solving complex global and local problems through policy and political research has grown with each new experience.
  • She hopes to broaden her understanding of complex global issues by conducting research alongside experts in the policy and political fields, and hopes to do so both within the context of think tanks, and eventually, in graduate school.
